New diabetes self-management education course for South Asian population
Description
Researchers at King's College London have signed an agreement with three partner organisations to offer a customised type 2 diabetes self-management education programme for the South Asian population in three London Boroughs. The Diabetes for South Asians (DoSA) programme was developed over several years, through research at King's College London, the University of Warwick and working with people from different South Asian communities.

Healthcare staff who regularly share the emotional, social or ethical challenges they face in the workplace experience less psychological distress, improved teamwork and increased empathy and compassion for patients and colleagues, a new study commissioned by the National Institute of Health Research reports.

Adopting a lying down position rather than being upright in the later stages of labour for women with a low dose epidural leads to a higher chance of having a spontaneous vaginal birth (without the need for forceps or suction), finds a study published by The BMJ this month.
