Day of Crisis

Meet the teams

Day of CrisisThe Day of Crisis international student moot competition is a 24 hour-long event being held at The Dickson Poon School of Law, King's College London between 21-22 April 2017.

Over the course of 24 hours, student teams will face a series of evolving international crises. Their challenge is to deal with a variety of legal issues quickly, accurately and diplomatically. Teams will be representing governments, international organisations, businesses or non-governmental organisations.

The competition will initially take place behind closed doors, before concluding with a free, public session on Saturday 22 April.

As we welcome the student teams onto campus, we asked them what they were looking forward to most about the Day of Crisis event and how they might need to keep themselves awake and alert over the 24 hours!

'We are extremely excited about representing not only our university, but also our country at King's College London. We are also excited at the prospect of meeting eminent scholars such as Dr Philippa Webb. Additionally, it is our first time visiting London and we would be thrilled to explore the city.

Our strategy for staying up for more than twenty four hours involves co-ordinated breaks and effective division of tasks as per each member's strengths. And if all else fails, we always have coffee!'
