Finding the perfect study spot can be a game-changer, whether you need a quiet corner to cram, a cosy space for assignments or just fresh motivation.

We’re Duy-Anh and Michelle, final-year BSc Business Management and MSc Global Health & Social Medicine students. We’ve turned every stone over around King’s campuses to find you the most underrated study spots. Here are our top picks!

Strand Campus

Bush House South East Wing (Floors 1 & 2)

Between lecture rooms, you’ll find cosy study nooks tucked along quiet corridors—perfect for quick breaks or focused sessions. These spaces offer comfy couches and tables ideal for collaboration, conveniently close to toilets and the Arcade Café. The area is calm but offers enough background activity to stay energized.

Harris + Hoole Café

If you ever find yourself wandering towards Holborn in search of a quiet café, this place is a hidden gem. We all know the struggle of trying to find a seat at Pret, Caffè Nero or any of the packed coffee spots on Strand. It has comfortable seating, couches and more formal study areas, plenty of plugs, and big windows that make for great people-watching.

Waterloo Campus

Franklin-Wilkins Library – Computer Area A (Floor 2)

Hidden away, this space consistently has seats available. With large windows providing natural light, it’s a welcoming space on both sunny and rainy days. It’s just a one-minute walk from Bytes Café, and there are nearby discussion zones perfect for quick chats or taking calls.
