KCLSU is moving! Find out where to and why

Three students are walking down a hall together

Why the move is happening

We’re excited to share some exciting updates about the upcoming changes to our campus as part of the Campus Futures programme.

The programme will enhance our campuses to create an environment for our students and staff to support their success, including creating high-quality facilities that inspire collaboration, innovation, and world-class learning experiences.

KCLSU will be relocating to the King’s Building, creating a new hub of student services at ground level in the heart of our campus. This move will place KCLSU alongside other essential services, such as the Language Resource Centre, making it more accessible and visible to all students.

The top two floors of Bush House SE Wing will be repurposed for the Arts and Humanities departments, moving from the Virginia Woolf Building.

What is moving

  • KCLSU Offices: Relocating from 7th Floor Bush House South East Wing (BHSEW) to first floor of the King’s Building.
  • KCLSU Reception: The new main reception will be in K0.34, with best access from the Quad. The move will take place during the w/c 17 February, and the new space will open on Monday 24 February.
  • KCLSU Informal Learning Spaces: These spaces on 7th and 8th Floor of BHSEW will be closed from Friday 7 February, you can find a list of available spaces here.
  • 7th Floor Student Hub: Will relocate to first floor of the King’s Building.

What is staying

  • KCLSU Activity rooms will remain on the 8th Floor BHSEW.
  • KCLSU Media Suite will stay on 7th floor BHSEW.
  • Shack Cafe and study space will remain open on the ground floor BHSEW.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this transition. These changes are designed to improve your experience and provide better facilities for all.
