KCLSU informal spaces are now closed – alternative locations available

King's students KCLSU The Shed Aug 2022

As part of the ongoing KCLSU relocation, the 7th and 8th floor study spaces in Bush House South East Wing (BHSEW) closed on 7 February.

We appreciate your patience during these moves and updates to our campus and want to ensure you have access to alternative spaces across campus, so we have put together some information below about spaces you can use.

Where can you study?

As part of this work, we have recently opened some new study spaces on the Strand campus including in K2.21 (King’s Building) and The Arcade. You can find a full list of available study spaces across campus here: Alternative Learning Spaces.

Where can you heat your food?

For students who used the microwaves in these spaces, you can now access microwaves at:

  • The Shack (Bush House SE Wing)
  • The River Terrace Café (Macadam Building)
  • King’s Kitchen (ground floor of Bush House SE Wing)

Key Dates to Remember

  • W/c 17 February – KCLSU Reception and Offices relocate to the first floor of the King’s Building
  • Monday 24 February – New KCLSU reception officially opens in King’s Building K0.34 (best accessed via The Quad)

Other student services in BHSEW remain open, including The Shack Café, Activity Rooms (8th floor), and the Media Suite (7th floor).
