Find your focus at our libraries
There are libraries across our five main campuses offering a range of different spaces and resources to support you with studying.
Wanting a quiet corner to revise or working on a group project? Check out the designated quiet, silent and discussion zones to revise on your own or with company, or book a Group Study room, available at all the libraries.
There are also exclusive Postgraduate Study Zones available at the following libraries with access via your King’s ID card: Franklin-Wilkins, The Maughan, New Hunt’s House, Weston Education Centre.
Fancy a late-night revision session? Find out which libraries are open 24/7 and utilise their resources anytime of the day.
You can also recharge your batteries in the Maughan Library with the Wellbeing Room, located in room 2.24. The space has comfy bean bags for you to take a break, relax your mind and find new inspiration.

Turn up and sit down in our informal learning spaces
Studying in between lessons? Looking for workspace on the fly? Then our informal learning spaces are a good option for when you want to study independently or as part of a group on campus outside of your taught sessions with teachers and academics. Located across our campuses and with no need to book, these spaces are available on first come first served basis.
From September 2024, we’re making changes to some informal learning spaces at the Strand while we make improvements to our buildings. We’ll be keeping you updated on when and where further improvements will happen, and you can also check Student Services Online for up-to-date locations across all our campuses.
Hang out at KCLSU

Alongside informal learning spaces, you can also book a KCLSU meeting or activity room if studying in a group, working on a project or for student society activities. The rooms are designed for varied activities and include spring flooring, stackable furniture, and AV facilities.
Need a break? Head to a one of KCLSU’s café’s or bars at the Strand and Guy’s campuses, or perhaps a chill out spot such as the one in the IoPPN building at Denmark Hill, which even has a TV for you to plug in your games console and play.
