Developmental approaches underlie almost all that we do at the SGDP Centre. These range from considering a traditional developmental perspective, examining factors around mental health in the perinatal, childhood and adolescent periods as well as into adulthood and across time generally.
This theme also includes work that focusses specifically on understanding developmental characteristics of psychiatric conditions such as onset, recurrence and treatment outcome, following both psychological and pharmacological treatments.
Finally, this theme includes considerable focus on understanding psychological processes relevant to the development of neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.
