The Borysik Group use native mass spectrometry (MS) ion mobility MS and hydrogen-deuterium exchange MS (HDX-MS) to study the conformations and dynamics of important biomolecules in order to understand their function. Current projects involve natively unfolded proteins including those involved in liquid-liquid phase separation and proteins implicated in protein deposition disorders. The Borysik Group also develops advanced computational techniques for HDX-MS including HDXmodeller for quantitative high-resolution HDX-MS. The Borysik Group is also interested in methods for structural determination using MS and applications of artificial intelligence for HDX-MS.
