2024 Dispute Boards International Survey

The Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution is conducting a comprehensive empirical research project on the use and practice of Dispute Boards around the world led by Professor Renato Nazzini and Raquel Macedo Moreira. Our main goal is to collect and analyse data in relation to the worldwide use of Dispute Boards as a dispute avoidance and resolution mechanism in projects that took place between January 2018 and December 2023 (inclusive).

Dispute Boards are increasingly used in the construction industry. The empirical data on the subject, however, is limited. The Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution aims at bridging that gap by providing comprehensive data on the use of Dispute Boards over a period of six years. Would you like to contribute to our research? We invite anyone whose practice has involved Dispute Boards in the past six years to answer our survey.

Check which category of respondent you fit in:

Institutions

Are you an Institution that was (or could have been) designated or requested to intervene in the constitution or functioning of a Dispute Board? Answer our survey designed for institutions

 Funders

Have you funded or financed a project for which a Dispute Board mechanism was considered or adopted? Answer our survey designed for funders

Individuals

Are you a physical person whose practice involved Dispute Boards? Answer our survey designed for individuals.

Entities

Are you a contracting party to a project (e.g. employer, contractor, consultant, subcontractors, supplier) whose activity involved Dispute Boards? Answer our survey designed for entities
