The latest in a series of meetings bringing together policy makers and practitioners

Graphic of a network

On Thursday 21st April 2022 the NIHR Health and Social Care Workforce Research Unit convened an online meeting of its support worker network, comprising policy makers and practitioners with an interest and stake in the range of support worker roles in health and social care. This was the fourth meeting of the network and attended by around twenty-five participants. Seeking to keep network members up to date on policy and practice developments and to encourage discussion around them, the event centred on presentations by: Health Education England’s National Apprenticeship Lead, HEE’s Deputy Chief Nurse, the Project Lead for the NHS England/Improvement Health Care Support Worker Programme, and the Head of Wider Teams Education, University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. Further meetings of the network are planned.
