The arrival of our new intake of Fellows marks an exciting step-change for the Digital Futures Institute. The Fellows we have recruited come from across the disciplines at King’s and will constitute a rich reservoir of research expertise and intellectual possibility, making good the Digital Futures Institute’s ambition to blend technological awareness with a sensitive understanding of human needs, cultures and behaviours.

Digital Futures Institute announces eleven new Fellows for 2025-26
Eleven interdisciplinary projects awarded Fellowships from the Digital Futures Institute for the 2025-26 cohort.

Eleven new projects bringing together expertise in SHAPE (Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People and the Economy) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) will be funded by the Digital Futures Institute in the 2025-26 academic year.
Each project is typically led by a Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator (Co-I) who will join the Institute for six months to develop interdisciplinary research and education projects aimed at enhancing our understanding of living well with technology.
This is the third cohort of the Digital Futures Institute Fellows since the inception of the Institute in 2023 – and the largest one to date.
Our new cohort of fellows embodies the mission of the Digital Futures Institute. By developing innovative educational programmes that are able to reach broad audiences of learners from around the globe, the Fellows’ work highlights the tremendous impact that King’s can have in helping people live well with technology in our increasingly digital world.
