Research Culture symposium 2025

Strand Campus, London

08Jandecorative

We will be drawing on the strength of the sector at our first annual Research Culture symposium.

We hope that everybody will come away from the day with new ideas, new grounds for multi-institutional collaboration and renewed confidence in the work going on across the higher education sector to address the complex issues that contribute to our research cultures.

The symposium has three main aims:

  1. To explore, amplify and share practice across the sector.
  2. To openly share and explore King's approaches, successes and learnings since the inception of its Research Culture team, highlighting the work of those involved all across the University.
  3. To connect people across the sector through meaningful discussion of shared priorities and shared challenges (including fixed-term contracts, reward and recognition, research assessment, under representation of minoritised groups in research and more).

The symposium is for anybody with an interest in enhancing research culture in universities.
