Student Wellbeing Team

Our team are available to support students’ wellbeing needs throughout their time at King’s. The Wellbeing team uses a Solution-Focused Coaching model which empowers students to support themselves. Our Advisors work with students to identify their challenges and to find the best routes through these. This can be by introducing students to new coping tools, giving information on specialist services and introducing students to relevant support groups. When students work with an Advisor they are offered a safe environment to explore the challenges they are facing. Then, the Advisor works with the student to determine which opportunities are best to take forwards and helps students to create an action plan tailored to their needs.

Some examples of wellbeing areas our team can work with students on:

  • Feelings of loneliness or not fitting in at King’s/within your community
  • Challenges around overwhelm, procrastination, perfectionism
  • Troubles navigating which support services might be right for you
  • Prioritising competing pressures

Booking an appointment

Meet the Wellbeing Team and book an appointment

Wellbeing appointments are 40 minute 1-2-1 meetings which can be in-person or online via Teams. All our advisors are Mental Health First Aid trained and operate through a Coaching and Mentoring framework. Advisors are connected to faculties, so if your challenges relate to your programme you may wish to select your appointed advisor. If your needs are not directly related to your programme, you can book with any available advisor. You can take a look at our advisors profiles and book an appointment via the link above.
