Success for Black Students currently runs engineering outreach workshops and STEM tutoring for Black school pupils.

Applying for Engineering

Date and time: Tuesday 19th November 5-7pm.
Location: Online
Target Audience: Year 13 school pupils (Year 12s also welcome)

During this session you will learn from academic staff and PhD students at King’s College London about applying to engineering programmes at universities through UCAS.

You will be able to learn about:

  • How to research engineering courses and universities
  • What makes a good personal statement
  • Guidance on your own personal statement

STEM Tutoring programme

Year 11 Black students are encouraged to sign up to our STEM tutoring programme. This will cover sciences and maths and will run weekly from 29 September to the end of April, during term time. It takes place on a Sunday morning, 8.30-9.30am, online in a group format, led by Professor Kawal Rhode.
