King's ranked top 20 in the world for Arts & Humanities

In the 2025 QS World Rankings by Subject, King's has ranked 17th in the world for Arts & Humanities, rising five places.

King's has been named as one of the world’s top universities for the study of 42 subjects in the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, including 17th for Arts & Humanities.

We bring to bear our internationally renowned expertise to some of the world's most pressing challenges. Our research changes lives and our teaching transforms our student’s futures. I’m delighted the work of our brilliant colleagues, and the ambitions of our students has been recognised here.

The placing means King's Arts & Humanities is ranked in the top five in the UK, and top six in Europe.

King’s is pioneering efforts to demonstrate the vital role of the arts and humanities in tackling societal challenges. The QS World University rankings offer an extensive overview of international higher education performance, with more than 1700 institutions ranked across 55 narrow subjects and five broad subject areas. It takes into account key areas of performance such as student experience, university partnerships, research activity and faculty qualifications.
