About the Institution

The Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) opened its doors in 1985 and since then, YISS has become an integral part of campus life based on a unique blend of Korean and global cultures. YISS continues to grow and evolve, accommodating the needs of a rapidly changing student body and meeting the challenges of a fast-paced global society. The SILC summer programme includes courses from the arts, culture, and humanities while also offering cutting-edge classes in management and economics, global issues, history, social sciences, and science and technology. YISS also presents the online courses to bring more options and flexibility to its students and their time in Korea. Moreover, a shorter, 4-week option is also provided to accommodate students that can only be away for a limited period of time.

Who can apply?

The Yonsei International Summer School Programme is open to undergraduate and postgraduate taught students only. Postgraduate Research students are excluded from this offer.

Courses offered

Yonsei International Summer School offer provides over 100 classes in a variety of subject areas from Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, Business Economics and more. Please check the link below for more information on the courses offered.

Programme dates

Yonsei International Summer School are running 2 programmes and these are as follows: 4 week programme - Monday 30th June 2025 - Wednesday 23rd July 2025 6 week programme - Monday 30th June 2025 - Wednesday 8th August 2025 Some courses run over a period of 4 and 6 weeks and others do not. Please check the course link above for more details on the dates and duration of each course.

Application deadlines

If you wish to apply for a place on the Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) Programme, you will need to submit your Global Summer Exchange Application by: Sunday 19th January 2025, by 11:59pm If your application is successful, you will be required to apply directly to Yonsei International Summer School by the following date: Thursday 13th March 2025.

What are the costs?

There are no fees associated with the Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) Programme, however, students who are successful in their application will receive a tuition fee waiver, but will be responsible for all other costs, including, flights, accommodation, visas, health/medical insurance (if compulsory) and living expenses.

Eligibility, Exclusions & Restrictions

Students are required to have a GPA requirement above 2.0/4.0
