Offering short-term programs for international students from all over the world, NTU Plus Academy encourages interdisciplinary learning and intercultural exchange to enhance cross-border academic collaboration.
Who can apply?
The National Taiwan University (NTU) Plus Academy Summer 2025 programme is open to undergraduate and postgraduate taught students only. Postgraduate research students are excluded from this offer.
Courses offered
The NTU Plus Academy Summer Programme offers 3 courses to King's students, with an additional shorter option for one of the programs in the following areas: Chinese Language & Culture Program, Research & Culture programme and the Intensive Research programme. Students who are interested in applying for the Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Engineering courses, will do so independently as these are not part of the offer. Students who are interested in applying for one of these courses will receive a partner discount on the associated fees. More information on fees can be found below in the section on costs. The programme dates for each course are as follows: Chinese Language and Culture Programme: Monday 23rd June 2025 - Friday 1st August 2025 Chinese Language and Culture Programme II: Sunday 3rd August 2025 - Saturday 23rd August 2025 Research and Culture Programme: Monday 23rd June 2025 - Friday 1st August 2025 Intensive Research Programme: Monday 23rd June 2025 - Friday 15th August 2025
Application deadlines
If you wish to apply for a place on one of the NTU Plus Academy Summer Programmes, you will need to submit your Global Summer Exchange Application by Sunday 19th January 2025, by 11:59pm If your application is successful, you will be required to apply directly to NTU by Tuesday 15th April 2025.
What are the costs?
The costs for attending one of NTU's programmes vary, however, in all cases the fees quoted below DO NOT include meal and accommodation fees. The fees for each course are as follows: Chinese Language and Culture course: Application fee: 200 USD - Waived Programme fee (Includes orientation, cultural courses, and activities): 2000 USD Research and Culture Programmes: Application fee: 200 USD - Waived Programme fee (Includes orientation, cultural courses, and activities): 2000 USD Intensive Research: Application fee: 200 USD - Waived Programme fee (Includes orientation, cultural courses, and activities): 1800 USD As mentioned in the course section above, the Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Engineering courses are not a part of the offer, but interested students will be offered a discounted rate. Application fee: 200 USD Programme fee (Includes orientation, cultural courses, and activities): 3500 USD Students who are successful in their application will receive a tuition fee waiver, but will be responsible for all other costs, including, flights, accommodation, visas, health/medical insurance (if compulsory), living expenses and those listed above.
Accommodation
Due to the shortage of NTU on-campus dormitories, on-campus accommodation is not offered for summer programme participants, however, to facilitate students while attending NTU Plus Academy Summer Programme, NTU will assist students in arranging an additional housing options at Pure Co-living by 9floor at a discounted rate for students.
