To gain the UK, EU & US Copyright Law MA, students must have previously completed the UK, EU & US Copyright Law Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) modules totalling 120 credits at merit level or above. Students then take a dissertation module (60 credits) over a further year to achieve the MA.
Our distance-learning UK, EU & US Copyright Law course will introduce you to the key principles of copyright law in several jurisdictions. These key principles relate to the requirements for copyright protection, ownership of copyright, economic rights and moral rights, and infringement of copyright. UK copyright law is examined in depth and this is compared and contrasted with US copyright law, French and German authors’ rights law and EU copyright law. The MA year is distance learning.
“The King’s comparative copyright diploma came highly recommended by a number of lawyers I’ve worked with over the years in the media industry and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve walked away with a better understanding of how US copyright law compares to EU and UK copyright law. This is exactly what I was looking for from a professional and academic perspective, plus I’ve received a diploma from a great university and met some fabulous people along the way, too.”
