Our research is focused on the molecular pathways by which glucose-induced changes can contribute to diabetic complications and neurodegeneration, with a particular interest in the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in this process. Additionally, we are developing methods to measure mitochondrial dysfunction in experimental models and humans.
