The AXR provides a large (25mm) field of view with up to 8192 x 8192, allowing for high resolution at a range of magnifications.

The high speed resonant scanner can decrease the illumination time by more than 20-fold for gentle and high-speed imaging (up to 720 fps at 2048 x 16 pixels).

The AXR is equipped with highly sensitive MA (2x, improved sensitivity for lower wavelengths e.g. DAPI) and GaAsP (2x, good sensitivity across the entire visible spectrum) detectors. The latter detector is with variable filters available to tune to specific labels. In addition, it has a compact diascopic PMT for transmitted light detection and a NSPARC spatial array detector for low noise super resolution imaging.
