Based in the Department of Digital Humanities at King’s College London, our lab uses geographic data science to explore cultural institutions, products, and audiences. We address core questions, such as: Where is culture created and consumed? What drives the location of museums, archives, cinemas, and theatres? How do audiences and cultural consumers cluster in neighbourhoods and regions? How are cultural production and consumption mediated by online platforms? What can large-scale user-generated content reveal about cultural life?

Our research spans museums, social media, film, publishing, and music, uncovering patterns that shape places and their cultural identities across international contexts. We investigate spatial inequalities in access to culture, providing insights to support policy aimed at fostering more equitable cultural landscapes. Harnessing geographic information, we illuminate the connections between culture, place, and people, contributing new perspectives on cultural ecosystems in both physical and digital spaces.
