International, Engagement & Service
About us
At King’s, we believe the world is better when we work together to make a positive impact. The core aim of the International, Engagement & Service Directorate is to engage with communities and partners in London, across the UK, and around the globe to unlock the impact King’s can make to people, planet and society.
Driving change and serving the communities we work with and for is at the heart of all that we do in IES. Our team lead a portfolio of innovative programmes that designed to make a real difference, with a focus on measurable, positive outcomes. In London, we are deeply committed to listening to and learning from the communities we serve, working alongside them to address their most pressing needs and aspirations in the city we all call home. By working with partners in every region of the world, our international engagement enriches educational and volunteering experiences for our students, fosters joint research to address global challenges, and contributes to worldwide prosperity.
Spanning the local insights and global perspectives needed to progress meaningful change, IES is home to some of King’s most impact-driven programming. Initiatives such as One King’s Impact, the Sanctuary Programme, King’s Volunteering, and the Afe Babalola Centre for Transnational Education are helping us shape a future where opportunity, equity, and sustainability are within reach for all. Our commitment to civic and place-based engagement in and beyond London and across the world is making a lasting difference—one community, one partnership at a time.
