
Biography
Mengying has a multidisciplinary background with bachelor’s degrees in both nursing and and finance. She completed her undergraduate study and became a registered nurse in China in 2018 and gained MSc (Advanced Nursing Practice) at the University of Edinburgh in 2019. She will complete her PhD programme at the University of Edinburgh in December 2024. During 2020 to 2024, she has published five peer-reviewed journal papers and been recruited as the research assistant (or voluntary role) for various research projects, for example, Nurses’ and midwives’ Experiences of Accessing Research evidence for practice in Ghana (NEAR Ghana) project, and VRUnwind project based at the University of Manchester.
Mengying’s research interests mainly focus on the development and evaluation of digital interventions to improve quality of life of the public. She joined the Kings College London as a research assistant to work on the COLLATE project within NMPC which aims to conduct a mixed-method systematic review of co-design methos, theories, and tools, and design an online toolkit for researchers in digital health fields.
