Biography
Yunpeng Li is a Reader in AI & Digital Oral Health at King’s College London. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Canada, in 2017. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford and a faculty member at the University of Surrey before joining KCL in 2024. He held a Junior Research Fellowship at Wolfson College, Oxford, and an Enterprise Fellowship from Royal Academy of Engineering.
Yunpeng’s main area of interest is in the development of machine learning tools to create trustworthy and uncertainty-aware solutions for real-world applications. Current research develops methodologies and products for applications including dental and oral health, biodiversity, and computational statistics. His research has been sponsored by NIHR, EPSRC, NERC, RAEng, Research England, and industry.
