Biography
Yong Li is a Lecturer in Accounting and Financial Management at King’s Business School. She holds a PhD from Warwick Business School at University of Warwick, and a MSc in Banking and Finance (with Distinction) from University of Stirling. She has also held visiting research scholar positions at the University of Hong Kong and Shanghai University of Economics and Finance.
Her research lies at the intersection of public policy, corporate financial reporting, and financial management of financial institutions. In particular, Yong has expertise in the area of pensions, and pension financial reporting regulation. Her recent work also examines corporate governance, executive pensions, and pension fund risk management. She has published in academic journals such as Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting and Accounting and Business Research, and authored book chapters on pension accounting.
Yong currently teaches a compulsory International Finance and Accounting course for postgraduate students and an elective Financial Reporting course for undergraduate students at King’s. Her teaching has been nominated for Teaching Excellence Award by students at King’s College London.
