Biography

My PhD involved identifying a set of molecular markers for diagnostic, prognostic and susceptibility to malignant melanoma. During my first post-doc, I developed and applied a fluorescence-based experimental platform to evaluate the concomitant effect of drugs on the bone marrow microenvironment and leukaemia tumour cells. I joined the Tree lab in 2022, establishing a project studying the effects of low-dose IL2 on the immune cells from patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) taking part in MIROCALS clinical trial. These studies aim to connect the modulation of the immune system with the progression of motoneuron diseases.
