Biography
Xanthi Zourntos is a Research Assistant in Health Inequalities, Systems and Societies and at the School of Life Course & Population Health Sciences. She works on IMPACT: Implementing a multisectoral programme for Indigenous Adolescent mental health in Brazil and Dominica project conducting implementation research with a team across the UK, Dominica and Brazil. She first joined the department to help establish the Population Health Stakeholder Involvement Group (PHSIG). She holds a MSc in Global Health & Social Justice from King's College London. Her MSc dissertation investigated the severity of water insecurity and boil water advisories on Indigenous health in First Nations Reserves in Canada.

Health Inequalities, Societies and Systems
Central to our research is understanding and tackling the systemic and intersecting drivers of disparities in health over the life course such as racism, gender, crime, precarious livelihoods, environmental pollution, and inaccessible health care. We work collaboratively across the School of Life Course and Population Sciences to strengthen the theoretical aspects of population health research.

PHSIG works collaboratively with multisectoral partners to ensure bring together diverse opinions for shared impact.
