Dr Wilson Wong
Reader in Transplant Immunology
Biography
Dr Wilson Wong is a Reader in Transplant Immunology. His research group has focused on various aspects of transplant immunology, including lymphatics and lymphoid organs in transplantation as well as novel strategies to prevent graft rejection.
His current research is funded by the BHF to investigate the use of an immunotoxin to prevent chronic rejection in cardiac allografts. If successful, transplant recipients can have regular treatment that can dampen down their immune response which may result in longer graft survival.
