Biography
Viktor started as a Lecturer at King's in September 2023. He joined King's from the London School of Economics, where he worked as a Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. He has several years of experience working on the interface between disaster risk reduction, resilience, and insurance including his work as a research partner in the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance, a multi-sectoral partnership focusing on finding practical ways to support communities across the globe to strengthen their resilience to flood risk. He is currently the early career and postgraduate research representative of the Climate Change Research Group at the Royal Geographical Society.
Viktor completed his PhD at the Institute of Earth and Environmental Science, University of Potsdam, Germany, while working as a Research Associate at the Hydrology group at the German Research Centre for Geosciences.
