Biography
Professor Dame Til Wykes is Head of School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. She is Professor of Clinical Psychology and Rehabilitation at King’s College London.
Professor Wykes has a wide ranging portfolio of research into treatment developments and evaluation including digital technology solutions to mental health treatment. She has been involved in research in mental health treatments and services for many years and is currently part of SMARTEN, an ESRC funded network on student mental health. She founded and was the first Director of the Service User Research Enterprise (SURE), which employs expert researchers with experience of using mental health services. She is a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Lead at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.
She edits the Journal of Mental Health. She was awarded a Damehood for her work in mental health.

Aiming to measure service user and staff perceptions of inpatient care, using a participatory research model developed by Dr Diana Rose.

The aim of Vocalise is to investigate the barriers to change on the ward, as perceived by nursing staff working on acute inpatient wards.
