Biography

How did your time at King's help with your career journey?

My time at King's provided me with a solid foundation in business, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The diverse student body and exposure to different cultures prepared me for the challenges of building a global company. The entrepreneurial spirit fostered at King's encouraged me to think creatively and identify opportunities. Most importantly, my personal experience as an international student gave me the empathy and understanding needed to build a successful business focused on student needs.

What is the best piece of advice you have for current King's Business School students on achieving success in their careers?

My advice is to fully embrace the opportunities King's offers for learning and growth. Don’t hesitate to step out of your comfort zone, explore various interests, and engage in extracurricular activities. Building a strong network is crucial—connect with your peers, professors, and industry professionals. Most importantly, have a clear vision for your future and actively pursue it. Networking is key, especially at a diverse institution like King's. The more people you meet, the richer your learning experience will be, both culturally and professionally.

Describe your career journey from being a student at King's to being in your current role.

My journey to founding UniBound was a direct response to the challenges I faced as an international student applying to King's. The lack of reliable guidance and misinformation I encountered ignited a passion to create a platform that would empower students like me. King's, while always my dream, became a catalyst for my entrepreneurial journey. I realised the immense gap in the industry and the potential to make a real difference. With a team of like-minded alumni, we established UniBound to provide authentic, personalised support to students aspiring to study in the UK.

What's the one thing you enjoy most about your current role?

What I enjoy most is the freedom to chart my own path and be my own boss. Throughout my life, I've been guided by my instincts, and I encourage my students to do the same. The most rewarding part of my role is helping students navigate their unique journeys with personalised, authentic advice. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions; instead, I help them find their own way, celebrating their individuality and unique goals.

What have been your biggest achievements in business and your career so far?

UniBound’s success is directly linked to the success of our students. We’re proud to have achieved a 95% success rate for university applications, which reflects the dedication and expertise of our team. Watching our students thrive academically and secure top placements is incredibly fulfilling.

Another major achievement has been building a team of passionate and experienced alumni advisors who share our vision for empowering students. Their firsthand knowledge of the UK education system and genuine commitment to our mission are central to our success.

What advice would you give to future students thinking about studying at King's Business School?

King's Business School offers a world-class education and a vibrant campus life. However, it's essential to be proactive in seeking opportunities beyond the classroom. Take advantage of the school's resources, such as career services and alumni networks. London offers an unparalleled platform for professional development, so make the most out of your time there. If you're passionate about making a global impact in the business world, King's is an excellent choice.
