Biography
Professor Thompson has over 25 years of research experience as an immunologist focusing on the design of novel immunotherapies for rheumatoid arthritis.
In more recent years his career has focused more on education, currently being Head of the Teaching Centre for Immunology, School Education Lead and co-director of the Extended Medical Degree Programme. He is also the widening participation lead for King’s Health Partners where he and colleagues received the King’s Award in 2017 for widening participation and social mobility.
