
Biography
Steve Hill is an Honorary Professor in the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. He is an independent board risk adviser, working with organisations including PwC UK, Dell Technologies, Twine Security, ABC News Network, Global Citizen, and the FBI–Fordham International Conference on Cyber Security.
He was previously the Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Credit Suisse, and has held Managing Director roles focused on cybersecurity risk and operational resilience.
Before his work in advisory and industry roles, Steve spent over 30 years in the UK government, tackling national security threats including international terrorism, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and geopolitical instability. He served in Vienna, Washington, Dubai, Kabul, and New York. While in the National Security Secretariat at the UK Cabinet Office, he played a key role in shaping and implementing aspects of UK cybersecurity policy.
Steve was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge.
