
Biography
Sharon first joined King's College London in September 2023. She previously worked on a number of projects, including assisting in the production of an application based on violence using CRIS (Clinical Record Interactive Search). Having graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London, Sharon’s interest in dementia research grew after being involved in a research project which explores the inequalities in dementia care (DETERMIND).
Sharon is currently in her first year of her PhD which explores innovative ways to use emerging technologies to help improve dementia care. Her project aims to use data from CRIS to pinpoint critical gaps in the dementia care pathway and integrate novel solutions to improve assistance for individuals living with dementia.

Expertise and Public Engagement:
Sharon is the deputy chair of the CRIS for Dementia (C4D) Patient and Public Involvement group. The group aims to:
- Identify research priorities for dementia research in CRIS
- Build meaningful and joint relationships between researchers and service users/carers
- Promote the service user/carer perspective in dementia research using CRIS
