Shannon is a Research Assistant in Interprofessional Sciences working on the FEARLESS project. She is currently in the final months of her PhD in Social Sciences at Cardiff University studying the impact of mobile technology to record patient observations in secondary care settings. Before this, She completed a BSc in Social Work and a MSc in Ageing Health and Disease.

Her research interests include interprofessional working in secondary care settings, the divide between health and social care, and the lived experiences of older people and their carers.
