Biography
Sapna Shah graduated from University of Bristol in 1999 and after specialising in renal medicine, completed her PhD in the discipline of kidney transplantation. She is appointed consultant nephrologist at King’s College Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. She is the clinical lead for kidney transplantation and co-leads the liver kidney clinical service, providing expertise on simultaneous liver kidney transplantation. Sapna is the Research and Innovation lead for Renal, Urology, Diabetes, Endocrinology and Obesity at KCH. Her current research interests include management of the failing transplant, combined liver and kidney transplantation and anaemia related to renal disease. She has published peer-reviewed papers in these fields and is the local lead for several commercial and non-commercial clinical trials.
