Biography
Sam Johnston received his MMath from the University of Oxford in 2014, and subsequently completed his PhD at the University of Bath in 2017. Thereafter he held postdoctoral positions in Dublin, Graz, and Bath before joining King’s as a lecturer in 2022.
Research interests
- Stochastic processes, in particular those with branching, coalescence, or fragmentation.
- Free probability
- Integrable probability
- Combinatorial approaches to the Jacobian conjecture
