Biography
Dr. Alessy is an Assistant Professor in public health at the Saudi Electronic University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and a Visiting Research Associate in cancer epidemiology at the Centre for Cancer, Society & Public Health at King's College London. He holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from King's College London on his research on cancer patients' care experiences in England using large cancer registration databases at Public Health England. Dr. Alessy is a recipient of several awards, including the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI Award), King's Experience Global Award from King's College London, and a summer fellowship on cancer control at the National Cancer Institute USA. He also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in epidemiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Centre in the United States. Dr. Alessy is a founding board member in the Saudi Society for Oncology Research and is currently a member of the Saudi Journal of Health Systems Research editorial board.
