Biography

Runcong Zhao is an associate researcher in Natural Language Processing, working on the EPSRC-funded project "A Lebesgue Integral-based Approximation for Language Modelling" supervised by Dr Lin Gui and Professor Yulan He. She holds a PhD in Computer Science and an MSc in Data Science from the University of Warwick. She also earned her BA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.

Research interests

  • Sentiment analysis and opinion mining: understanding sentiment and opinions expressed in text
  • Claim veracity assessment: fact checking, Twitter rumour veracity assessment
