Biography
Roupmatee (Roop) joined the Faculty in 2013. She graduated with an NMC Registration as a Mental Health Nurse from King’s College London. Following qualification, Roupmatee works for South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) as a primary nurse on an acute ward. Later on, she joined the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) as CPN (Community Psychiatric Nurse) after qualifying as an Independent Practitioner and Nurse Prescriber from King’s College London. Roupmatee holds a PGDip in Clinical Education and is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). She is in the process of completing her Master’s in Clinical Education (MACE).
Roupmatee's current roles are teaching both pre-registration and post-qualification students on a range of modules within the faculty. She also leads on the option module Pharmacology 1 & 2 for Mental Health Nursing. Her clinical link area is South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) where she teaches and supports the pre-registration nursing students in their learning experience.
Her areas of interest include the interlace between Mental & Physical Health and development of simulation innovations for optimising students learning.
