Biography
Dr Sarkany is the Head of the St John's Photodermatology Unit, and the Founder and Head of the St Thomas' based National Xeroderma Pigmentosum Unit. He has an international reputation as a clinical Dermatologist and Photodermatologist, as a teacher in Photodermatology, and as a clinician and researcher with a major research interest in Xeroderma Pigmentosum and Photoprotection. He is the joint P.I. with Professor John Weinman of a 5 year NIHR Programme Grant for Applied Research (2015-2020) aimed at improving photoprotection in patients with Xeroderma Pigmentosum.
