Advanced Practice Specialist Sonographer in Gynaecology

Biography

I am an Advanced Practice Specialist Sonographer in Gynaecology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I completed my MSc in 2022 which focussed on the implementation of a systematic scan approach and structured reporting template for endometriosis. I now provide consultation and support for gynaecological study days, specifically for advanced endometriosis education and associated applications.

I am passionate about patient tailored care and improving and transforming the outcomes of women’s health imaging. I do this by championing the role of the Sonographer and working with multi-disciplinary teams to optimise process and standards.

I am qualified also in obstetric, abdominal, transplant, DVT, hernia, axillary and small bowel Ultrasound. I was the deputy lead Sonographer prior to my current role and have had multiple posters presented at the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) annual events. I set up the pioneering new endometriosis scanning service at CUH, creating dedicated lists aligned with the Gynaecological outpatient service allowing for a much improved and responsive service.
