Rayan graduated from King Abdul Aziz University, KSA in 2012 with a BDS degree. After completed the internship year, he was appointed in 2013 as a Prosthodontics demonstrator and clinical teacher at Umm Al-Qura University (UQUDENT).

In 2018, He was awarded for the degree of master’s in dental sciences in Prosthodontics (MDSc) with distinction from the University of Dundee, Scotland.

Currently, he is a lecturer at UQUDENT and working on his PhD research at King's College London investigating the impact of using digital media and social media on dental education and the dental profession.
