Biography
Paul Lavender received his PhD from St. Bartholomew's Hospital University of London and undertook Post-Doctoral training at the Institut Recherches Cliniques de Montreal in Canada and at the Wellcome/CRC (now Gurdon Institute) in Cambridge. His research interests are focussed upon epigenetic regulation of gene expression and understanding the cause and impact of the reorganization of epigenetic landscapes in disease.
Research
Respiratory Epigenetics
The objective of the research is to identify disease-specific epigenetic landscapes, the factors that drive reorganization, the enzymes that they utilize to achieve these functions and the transcriptional consequences of reorganization.
RNA Biology
RNA is at the forefront of biomedical research for its central role in how information is transferred from DNA to protein. This Research Interest Group is open to all interested parties from across the University.
School of Immunology & Microbial Sciences: Development, Diversity & Inclusion
The work of the Development, Diversity & Inclusion committee for the School of Immunology & Microbial Sciences
