Biography
Dr Paul Cawley is a consultant neonatologist with an active research interest in perinatal brain imaging and point-of-care MRI, supported by the MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders. His research has focused on the development of bespoke neonatal point-of-care ultralow field MR sequences to facilitate both clinical and research applications with global translation.
Dr Cawley is the clinical lead for Family Integrated Care at the Evelina London Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, St Thomas' Hospital with publications and international presentations investigating the impact of COVID-19 restrictions, developing the parental role within intensive care settings and pioneering infant-parent contact for extremely preterm babies within the delivery room. He is faculty for the RCOG/BMFMS Labour Ward Lead and Management of the Labour Ward advanced training skills modules and was faculty for the national BAPM/MatNeoSip Building Successful Perinatal teams toolkit.
