Biography

Dr Oriol Gracia I Carmona is a computational Biologist and Chemist. He did his PhD at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna in the group of Prof Chris Oostenbrink on the topic of developing new thermodynamic based methods to compute free energies of binding of systems with slow relaxing processes. Now he is a research associate at King’s College London in the group of Prof Mathias Gautel and at University College London in the group of Prof Franca Fraternali. He has contributed to the development of several open-source projects including the Molecular Dynamics engine GROMOS. His research interests focus on structural biology, molecular dynamics, machine learning and method development.
