Biography
Omar completed his undergraduate and master's degrees at Imperial College London, working on higher genus bosonic partition functions and functional determinants in string theory under the supervision of Professor Arkady Tseytlin, as well as on N-point functions of determinant operators in the Fishnet theory under the supervision of Dr Edoardo Vescovi.
Research interests
His current research interests are in understanding Wilson loops and surface operators in the (2,0) theory from the string/M-theory side via the AdS/CFT conjecture(s). His general interests are in the union, and especially the intersection, of the following areas:
- String/M-theory
- AdS/CFT correspondence
- Integrability
- Conformal field theory
Supervision
Principal supervisor: Professor Nadav Drukker
