Biography

My work focuses on the use of statistics and data science to improve the understanding and treatment of disease. More specifically I seek to integrate genetic and clinical data to enable stratification of chronic diseases such as psoriasis, with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare provision for individual patients. More generally, my research interests cover both rare disease genetics (interpretation of next-generation sequencing data) and complex disease genetics (identification and characterisation of disease associations; stratified medicine and treatment response), as well as broader methodological work (e.g. predictive modelling; biological pathway and interaction network analysis).
