Dr Neal Reeves
Postdoctoral Research Associate, Informatics
Biography
Neal Reeves is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Informatics at King’s College London. His research sits at the intersection of citizen science, human-computer interaction and collective intelligence.
He has most recently worked on the Horizon Europe IMPETUS project overseeing the Open Call for participating citizen science initiatives as well as training in data management and research ethics. In addition, he has contributed to the ESRC-funded DataTesting, exploring approaches to querying open governmental data. In addition, he supports the King’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence, exploring how King’s staff and students are making use of diverse generative AI tools in their research. Before this, he previously worked on the Horizon2020 ACTION project.
Prior to joining King’s, Neal worked at the University of Southampton on the Horizon 2020-funded Stars4All project, exploring data quality and engagement in citizen science projects for monitoring and combatting light pollution. He has also gained experience in professional learning and development contexts.
