Biography
Nandini Aggarwal is a PhD Student in the Randall Centre for Cell & Molecular Biophysics, under the supervision of Dr Susan Cox. Her research involves exploring the role of fibroblasts in mediating the remodelling of the extracellular matrix (ECM), which is observed during dermal fibrosis.
She gradduated with an MSc Degree in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences Research from King's College London in 2020.
Research Interests
- Exploring how ECM mechanics and properties are affected by the remodelling observed during fibrosis.
- Researching how fibroblast behaviour may in turn be affected by the changes in ECM properties.
- Investigating the poorly understood feedback mechanisms that exist between fibroblasts and the ECM throughout the fibrosis process.
PhD supervision
Principal supervisor Dr Susan Cox
